Attack of the robot spaghetti

Last night for dinner we decided to get creative and have some fun!!  I've been wanting to try this recipe I found with the kids so I figured it would be a good night for it!  They loved it!!  We voted on the name for it and have decided to call it "robot spaghetti" =)

Robot Spaghetti

You will need:

• A handful of spaghetti noodles, broken in half
• 1 package of hot dogs 
• 1 BIG pot
• Boiling water

1.) Cut the hot dogs in either 1/2's or 1/3's

spaghetti noodles in half.  hot dogs in 1/3's

2.) Now have your child push noodles into their hot dog pieces.  Let them use as many noodles as they want!

3.)Now it's time to boil your robots!!  {This step is where the big pot comes in!!  We had a hard time fitting more than one Robot into a pot, so we had to do them one at a time.}

4.) Boil for 7 minutes, or until spaghetti is fully cooked.

5.) Enjoy!!!  

Toppings: We topped ours with butter and parmasean cheese {that's how my kids eat their spaghetti} but you could top it with cheese, marinara sauce, or even eat them plain!
